When I moved to Salford I joined Salford Art Club. These are two pictures of near where I live which were in the S.A.C. exhibition 'The Changing Face of Salford' at Salford Art Gallery, Nov 2009-Feb 2010. When I submitted them the club asked for prices. I said I wanted them to go so put them in as 'Free'. They weren't too happy about that, one lady told me I was trying to 'devalue art', and that part time artists could put professionals out of business doing that sort of thing. I didn't want to make too much fuss so I said OK and put them in for £5 each. They sold, and I got a cheque for £7 after the gallery's commission.
